Your bed cover looks very warm and comfortable, Pantea! :) I am curious, is it traditional in Iran to place the bed right on the floor? I discovered that this was the tradition in South Korea when I visited there with my friend. Everyone slept on thin mats on the floor and the floor was heated. I went to Korea in the spring, but in the morning it was still very cold there. Korea is much farther north than Alabama.
We went to NYC with friends one night with no planning and got there 5 in the morning. This is what the friends' friend had to offer to uninvited guests.
As for the tradition, in urban areas is same beds as USA but in rural areas people probably put it directly on the ground.
